GERALD W. HOCKER
REPRESENTATIVE GERALD W. HOCKER
Gerald Hocker is the current 38th District State Representative (Republican) serving his 4th term in office.
He is a lifelong native of Sussex County (born
January 9, 1948 in Lewes, DE), and raised in Millville, Delaware. He
graduated from Lord Baltimore High School and then the University of
Delaware with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He has
been married to his wife, Emily, since 1969. They have 5 children and
7
grandchildren.
Owner of G & E Super Market and G & E Hardware
located in Ocean View as well as Hocker’s Grocery & Deli and Hocker’s Super
Center in Clarksville. He is also co-owner of Cea-Dag Apartments in
Dagsboro, Delaware.
A
member of the Ocean View Church of Christ.
The
Founder and Organizer of the Springtime Jamboree which has now helped to put
thousands of dollars back in the community since 1982. All
proceeds have benefited non-profit organizations including the Lower Sussex
Little League, Lord Baltimore, Fenwick Island & Selbyville-Indian River Lions Clubs,
Millville Fire Co., Delaware Hospice, Pop Warner Football, River Soccer
Club and the Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Company.
Previously
served on the Board of Directors for the First National Bank of Frankford,
Sussex Trust Company, Baltimore Trust Company, and Mercantile Peninsula Bank.
